about me

My name is Wesley Reid. I'm a passionate young film director.

My focus is on showing perspectives that are often overlooked, misunderstood, or simply not given enough space. I believe there is so much value in the quiet, in-between moments and the people we don’t always notice. Through film, I try to give those moments a voice. I want to show viewers something they haven’t seen before, or show them something familiar in a completely new way.

I care about stories that are meaningful and visually strong. I don’t just want to entertain people. I want to move them, challenge them, and hopefully leave something behind that sticks. That’s where film has real power. It can reach across walls, beliefs, and distance, and make someone feel understood, or help them understand someone else.

My background is in editing and storytelling for digital platforms, but my path has led me toward directing fiction and creative film projects. I’m especially drawn to themes like pressure, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves to survive. I try to approach each project with honesty, clarity, and intention.

Right now, I’m building work that reflects my vision more and more. Films that don’t just look good, but say something real. And I’m always looking to connect with others who believe in the impact of film, not just as art, but as a tool for positive change.

If that resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
